The Xbox Rewards Hub is now replacing the well-known Rewards App. Here’s what you should know about this transition and what to expect.

The Microsoft Rewards App allowed Xbox users to earn points by playing games, watching videos, and completing quizzes or challenges. These points could be exchanged for rewards like gift cards and Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. However, the Rewards App will cease to exist on April 15, making way for the Xbox Rewards Hub. While many aspects will stay the same, there are some important changes to be aware of.

What is the Microsoft Rewards Hub?

The Rewards Hub is a new feature for Xbox users, replacing the old Microsoft Rewards App. It aims to make it simpler and more enjoyable for gamers to earn rewards for playing their favorite games and being active in the Xbox community. Most features from the previous Rewards App are included in the Rewards Hub. It is accessible through your Xbox console and the Xbox app on mobile and Windows PCs, requiring a Microsoft account sign-in.

Within the Rewards Hub, you can earn points in various ways, such as purchasing games and eligible items from the Microsoft Store, playing games, completing quests, and more. These points can be redeemed for a wide range of rewards, including Xbox Gift Cards, sweepstakes entries, controllers, consoles, or donations to charity.

The Microsoft Rewards Hub introduces a new earning method tied to shopping. Depending on your level, you can earn up to 20 points for every dollar spent on qualifying digital purchases at the Microsoft Store. Completing quests also awards points and helps you progress through levels, with the ability to earn between 1 and 20 points per dollar as you level up.

What happens to Rewards App Weekly Streaks?

As the Rewards App exits Xbox on April 15, weekly streaks and tasks previously used to earn points will also come to an end. These changes are part of Microsoft’s transition to the new Rewards Hub, which will introduce its version of game streaks starting March 25.

While this shift may disappoint players accustomed to these challenges and rewards, the Xbox Rewards Hub is geared towards earning points through the game pass and engaging gaming activities. This indicates a more streamlined and potentially more rewarding system in the future. For access to the Xbox Rewards Hub, visit the official website.
