A recent leak has revealed that PlayStation 5 users will soon experience a new and improved User Interface.

Shown in a video by YouTuber Mystic, a revamped PlayStation 5 User Interface (UI) is on the horizon, bringing exciting new features and enhancements. The video stirred both excitement and frustration among users, reintroducing some features from the PlayStation 4 while introducing new ones. However, feedback is mixed due to some missing anticipated features and limitations.

What features are in the new PlayStation 5 User Interface?

The updated PlayStation 5 User Interface introduces exciting features, enhancing user experience with aesthetic and functional improvements. Users can now personalize their experience by changing the background image, adding a personal touch to their console’s appearance. The Explore page offers valuable information such as displaying trophies, console storage details, and controller and headset battery life, aiding users in managing their gaming sessions more efficiently.

A notable feature is the emphasis on social connectivity. The User Interface reintroduces the ability for users to view their friends’ earned trophies, a feature reminiscent of the PlayStation 4 era. This revival aims to enhance the community aspect of the PlayStation network, enabling players to feel more connected to their friends’ gaming accomplishments and activities. The “What’s New” tab, a familiar feature from the PS4, returns, providing updates on friends’ gaming progress, including earned trophies and played games.

When Will Sony Release the New User Interface?

There is currently no official release date for the new PlayStation 5 User Interface. Mystic mentioned that the current preview is in Beta and accessible to some players in the United States. With the preview already available to some users, an announcement regarding the official release is anticipated soon.
