Video game award season is in full swing, and we didn’t want to be left out, so we spun up our own completely arbitrary list of categories to celebrate, from “Video Game Food We Wanted To Eat The Most” to “Bluest Character.” There have been a lot of great games this year, but what about great in-game liquids? Is grease a liquid? There was a lot of it in Baldur’s Gate 3. What about sand, which is sort of like a liquid, except not really? There was a lot of sand in 2023’s biggest games, from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to Forspoken to Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
