Recently, images of a previously unannounced white Xbox Series X model without a disc drive have made their way online, posted by multiple users.

With PlayStation gearing up to launch its mid-generation console, the PlayStation Pro, gamers have been wondering when Xbox would follow suit. The leaked images of the all-white disc-less Xbox Series X model have sparked speculation that this could be the anticipated mid-generation console refresh from Xbox.

When Is the All-White Xbox Series X Model Releasing?

There is currently no official release date for the new white Xbox Series X model. However, there are speculations that it might hit the market around June or July of 2024. Since the leaked console is digital-only, there is a possibility of a lower price point due to reduced production costs without the disc drive. The new Xbox Series X will sport the same all-white design found in the current Xbox Series S.

The upcoming Xbox Series X will come with a disc-less design, 1TB of storage, and enhancements to components like the heatsink and Nexus card compared to the existing model. According to Microsoft insider Brad Sams, the chassis of the original Xbox Series X and its white variant remain unchanged, meaning there won’t be any bump in specifications from the original model. With Sony upgrading their mid-generation console, Xbox may include more features in the new Series X than what has been revealed in the leaks. Nonetheless, gamers will have to wait for an official announcement from Xbox to know more details about the white console.

It’s important to note that Xbox has not yet confirmed this information. While there have been rumors about a mid-generation console, this leak could possibly hint at another color variant rather than the awaited mid-generation console. Gamers will have to wait for an official announcement from Xbox for more concrete details.
