Xbox Insiders Can Now Stream Gameplay Directly to Discord

Microsoft has released a new update that allows Xbox Insiders to stream gameplay directly to Discord.

Xbox Insider members now have the ability to stream their gameplay footage directly on Discord. This feature is currently available to members on the Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha programs, who will be the first to test it before it is released to the public.

Once the testing phase is complete, Xbox will roll out the feature to all console owners. The release date for this wider availability has not been specified yet.

According to the official Xbox Wire blog, players will be able to stream their games to their Discord friends by selecting the “Stream Your Game” option.

“To get started, you can join voice channels from your Discord servers directly from your Xbox console when your Discord account is linked,” the article explains. “To try it, press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, scroll to Parties & Chats, and select Discord. Then scroll through your available Discord servers, pick a voice channel, and start streaming.”

“We’re excited to hear your feedback as you try it out, and we’re equally excited for what the future holds for Xbox and Discord.”
