A new set of Weekly Quests is available in Fortnite and one of them requires you to destroy Chrome Structures, so here’s you can quickly get this done.
The Fortnite map has undergone significant changes with the arrival of the Chapter 3, Season 4 update, as a strange substance known as Chrome has infected numerous POIs around the island.
This substance also plays a part in the weekly challenges, as one of the Week 3 Quests tasks players with destroying Chrome Structures. This can be difficult so we’ll go over how to complete this Quest.
How to destroy Chrome Structures in Fortnite
In order to complete this Quest, you’ll need to throw Chrome Splash on structures before destroying them with your pickaxe. You can collect Chrome Splash as ground loot or by searching through regular Chests as well as Chrome Chests.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Hop into Fortnite
- Search for Chrome Splash
- Build a structure such as a wall or ramp
- Throw the Chrome Splash onto it
- Hit it with your pickaxe until it’s destroyed
Destroying structures that were already Chromed from the start of a match won’t count towards the completion of this challenge. For that reason, you’ll need to get your hands on the Chrome Splash.
You’ll need to wreck 100 Chrome Structures so be sure to collect plenty of Chrome Splash. Once you’ve destroyed them all, this challenge will be marked as complete and you’ll be awarded 20,000 XP for your efforts.
You can earn even more bonus XP by completing the rest of the Week 3 Quests as well. Doing this will allow you to unlock brand-new skins such as the Gwen Stacy outfit and Super Level Styles.
