Modern Warfare 2 Leak Hints At Addition Of Gum Game & Gunfight Modes

A Modern Warfare 2 leaker has revealed that fan-favorite modes Gun Game and Gunfight could soon be coming to the game.

Modern Warfare 2 players have been calling out for new maps and modes following the Season 1 Reloaded update. Thankfully, the Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 update is right around the corner and the devs could take advantage of the perfect opportunity to breathe some new life into the game.

With a tentative start date of February 1 for Modern Warfare 2 Season 2, leaks are shedding light on what to expect. Previously, leaks revealed that the classic Castle map and Ronin Operator could be on the way.

Furthermore, previous leaks also suggested that Cranked and Plunder could be coming to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 respectively. While Cranked is a welcome addition, the possibility of Gun Game and Gunfight arriving in Modern Warfare 2 will surely generate more excitement among players.

Call of Duty leaker TheGhostOfHope Retweeted an image shared by BKTOOR5, the same account that leaked the Cranked and Plunder information. The image contains what look to be logos for Gun Game and Gunfight, two of Call of Duty’s most popular party game modes.

While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, the timing of the leaked images would suggest that these modes could be arriving in Season 2. Neither of the leakers commented on the timing of these additions, but with an update around the corner, one would assume that the teased modes could arrive soon.

Gunfight debuted in Modern Warfare and the mode that sees players face off in a small map cage match could naturally find a home in the sequel.

Meanwhile, Gun Game tasks players with cycling through an assortment of weapons that changes with each kill. The fan-favorite mode has provided memorable moments of chaos after appearing in several Call of Duty games.

Infinity Ward have been tight-lipped when it comes to plans for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 2. Hopefully, players will receive a sneak peek at what to expect as February 1 approaches.
