Fortnite’s most recent update was released on Wednesday, September 6th. Although it was a minor update compared to others, it introduced several new items, including the Shield Grenade EMP, Sticky Grenade Launcher, and a few new Reality Augments.
Players are particularly excited about these additions, especially the Shield Grenade, as they try to find ways to use it strategically to secure more wins. In addition to these new items, Epic Games also made undisclosed changes that have significantly improved the game, receiving positive feedback from players.
Now, let’s dive into the details of these changes.
The latest Fortnite update has introduced a crucial change
With the start of Chapter 4 – Season 4, Epic Games made the decision to bring back several Mythic items from previous seasons. Familiar weapons like Midas’ Drum Gun and The Foundation’s MK-Seven Assault Rifle have made a comeback. Kit’s Shockwave Launcher has also returned, although it hasn’t been as useful as some players had hoped.
The Shockwave Launcher is considered the best means of transportation in the game, but its usefulness was limited by a shortage of rocket ammunition. This led many players to avoid using the weapon entirely, despite its potential. Fortunately, this issue has been addressed in the latest patch.
The update has increased the frequency at which rockets drop, benefiting all weapons that rely on this type of ammo.
According to renowned Fortnite leaks source, iFireMonkey, rockets have become more abundant in the game since the update. Additionally, Supply Llamas now offer rocket ammo, which was previously missing.
Considering that the update also introduced the Sticky Grenade Launcher, the increased availability of rockets is not surprising. While it will improve the effectiveness of Kit’s Shockwave Launcher, it was primarily implemented to support the new explosive weapon introduced on Wednesday.
