FIFA 23 World Cup content leaked start date
EA have yet to confirm an official start date for their FIFA 23 World Cup content. Nonetheless, we know that the World Cup begins on November 20. It’s safe to expect FIFA 23’s World Cup content to release a week or more before the start of the World Cup.
This suggestion lines up with a recent report from FIFA leakers that claims November 9 is the day that the World Cup mode will kick off in FIFA 23. In addition to the initial start date, leakers also shared the reported start dates for World Cup Path to Glory, Road to World Cup, World Cup Stories, and an upcoming World Cup promo.
Qatar 2022 World Cup content coming to Ultimate Team
Ultimate Team fans are expected to receive a ton of World Cup-themed content before the 2022 winner is crowned. Of course, players already got a glimpse of the World Cup Heroes that will be making their way to FUT. These boosted versions of regular FUT Heroes will hit Ultimate Team in November.
Alongside World Cup Heroes, it seems FIFA 23 fans can also expect World Cup Icons. It remains to be seen if these will also be boosted versions of traditional Icons, but expect them to commemorate the World Cup in some way.
FIFA leaker DonkTrading also hinted at World Cup Showdown SBCs, a Path to Glory promo, Team of the Tournament promo, and World Cup Swaps. These mouth-watering additions are sure to deliver some new boosted World Cup items, and with a World Cup swaps program active, you’ll have more chances than ever to claim valuable rewards.
FIFA 23 World Cup modes
Due to a mishap by EA that allowed players access to the World Cup menu on October 12, we got our first look at what to expect outside of the Ultimate Team mode.
It seems the menus will undergo a complete World Cup overhaul, or at the very least there should be a separate World Cup menu in FIFA 23. This menu will allow players to select from a World Cup Kick Off playlist, Online Tournament playlist, and Custom Tournament playlist.
The World Cup hub in FIFA 23 is fully decked out in burgundy tones to match the theme of the color scheme of the Qatar World Cup. Keep in mind players were not supposed to get their hands on this menu at this stage, so EA will possibly look to make tweaks before it officially launches.
