FIFA 23 World Cup content leaked start date

EA has not officially announced the start date for the FIFA 23 World Cup content. However, with the World Cup starting on November 20, it’s likely that FIFA 23’s World Cup content will be released a week or more before the actual event.

Recent reports from FIFA leakers suggest that the World Cup mode in FIFA 23 will kick off on November 9. Along with the initial launch date, leakers have shared rumored start dates for World Cup Path to Glory, Road to World Cup, World Cup Stories, and an upcoming World Cup promo.

Qatar 2022 World Cup content coming to Ultimate Team

Ultimate Team enthusiasts can anticipate a wealth of World Cup-themed content before the 2022 champion is determined. World Cup Heroes, special boosted versions of regular FUT Heroes, will join Ultimate Team in November.

In addition to World Cup Heroes, FIFA 23 fans can look forward to World Cup Icons. The specifics of whether these will be enhanced versions of traditional Icons remain to be seen, but they are expected to pay tribute to the World Cup in some manner.

FIFA leaker DonkTrading has hinted at additional features like World Cup Showdown SBCs, a Path to Glory promo, Team of the Tournament promo, and World Cup Swaps. These enticing additions are likely to introduce new enhanced World Cup items, and with an active World Cup swaps program, players will have increased opportunities to earn valuable rewards.

FIFA 23 World Cup modes

Due to an EA oversight that allowed players to access the World Cup menu on October 12, a sneak peek was provided of what to expect beyond the Ultimate Team mode.

The menus are expected to be entirely revamped for the World Cup, or at minimum, there should be a distinct World Cup menu in FIFA 23. This menu will provide options for players to choose from a World Cup Kick Off playlist, Online Tournament playlist, and Custom Tournament playlist.

The World Cup hub in FIFA 23 is designed in hues of burgundy to align with the color scheme of the Qatar World Cup. It’s worth noting that players were not meant to access this menu at this stage, so EA may make adjustments before the official launch.
