Epic Games Announces Big Updates Coming to Fortnite

Epic Games is not slowing down when it comes to Fortnite. The popular gaming sensation continues to dominate with its constant updates and diverse content. And now, the developers are promising even more exciting changes in the months ahead.

Since its launch in 2018, Fortnite has become a powerhouse in the gaming world, offering PvP and PvE modes. The addition of the Creative mode in Chapter 1–Season 7 further boosted its popularity. And now, Epic Games has something massive in store for this mode.

So, what can you expect to see in Fortnite this year? Let’s find out.

Major Content Update Coming to Fortnite

Before the year ends, Epic Games plans to release a significant amount of fresh content. While Fortnite Chapter 5 is still unconfirmed, industry leaks suggest its possible release in the coming months. However, Epic has confirmed several new features that will be introduced to UEFN (Unreal Editor for Fortnite) soon.

To outline their strategy for the next two quarters of 2023, the company showcased these exciting features on their Trello board.

Here are the key updates planned for UEFN:

  • Improved Discover tab with text search and customization
  • Personalized lobby backgrounds for UEFN maps
  • Custom map and minimap features
  • Enhanced Creator pages
  • Modified perspective cameras
  • User interface customization
  • Personalized HUD layout
  • Enhancements to the Verse
  • Support for various languages

These features are expected to be released in the last quarter of 2023. Once they are available, Fortnite’s Creative maps, using UEFN, will have an even more spectacular look, possibly rivaling the battle royale mode.

In the meantime, the Epic Games team will continue to introduce new content in Chapter 4 – Season 4, including the highly-anticipated Fortnitemares 2023 event.
