CoD Mobile Season 1 2023 release date & time

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 1: Reawakening will arrive on January 18, 2023, at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET / 12 AM GMT (January 19).

CoD Mobile seasons rarely have significant downtime, so you should be able to dive into the new content as soon as you’ve downloaded the update.

CoD Mobile Season 1 Nuketown Temple map overhaul

As revealed by the Season 1 trailer, the Lunar New Year-themed Nuketown Temple map will receive a Year of the Rabbit overhaul with the Reawakening update.

This new take on Nuketown is “set within the bounds of a metropolitan city and featuring aesthetics representing the Year of the Rabbit.”

CoD Mobile Season 1 2023 new weapon & mode

Every new CoD Mobile season adds a new weapon into the mix, and Season 1 2023 brings the Dingo LMG, which can be unlocked at Tier 21 of the Reawakening Battle Pass.

CoD fans will remember the Dingo LMG from the Black Ops 3 days, and this continues CoD Mobile’s pattern of bringing classic weapons from past titles with each update after Black Ops Cold War’s EM2 dropped in Season 11 2022.

CoD Mobile Season 1 Reawakening also brings a new party game mode to the mix, Big Head Blizzard. In this mode, players will “acquire energy as you deal damage to enemies. The more energy you acquire, the bigger your Operator’s head becomes until you finally transform into a bobblehead-like character equipped with just a melee weapon and increased health points.”

Players can also expect some Lunar New Year-themed updates to the Super Attack of the Undead mode.

CoD Mobile Season 1 2023 new Equipment

CoD Mobile Season 1: Reawakening also adds the Stim Shot to the game at Tier 14 of the Battle Pass. This useful piece of equipment was first introduced in Black Ops 4, offering players a quick health and mobility boost to help them get out of tricky situations.

It’s gone on to become a staple in many loadouts in later CoD entries, so it’s no surprise to see CoD Mobile throwing them into the mix.

New Battle Royale POIs & content

The update also brings the Ecology Lab and T-3 Refinery as new points of interest that players can explore in battle royale.

Players can interact with computers at the greenhouses in the Ecology Lab to “acquire in-game consumables like more ammo,” and also one of T-3 Refinery’s two “treatment cylinders that create an updraft to lift players up and out of the building, making for the perfect escape or a surprise attack opportunity.”

Further, the update also brings greater loot opportunities, as players can find “the Atlas NPC located in the new Battle Royale points of interest and complete time-limited missions in exchange for Red Envelopes that contain the new seasonal currency.”

Players will also need to keep an eye out for R.A.B.T. Robots, which are “small rabbit like” robots around Isolated that provide loot after being attacked, “the “the more damage you inflict, the greater your reward.”

Lastly, players can also shoot down Lunar New Year-themed Loot Balloons in the sky for rewards that could steer them toward victory.
